K. Blatchfords San Diego Rug Cleaning Company
This service seem to gather the best reviews. K.Blatchfords specialize in hand washing and repairing/restoration of hand made rugs, tapestries and flokattis. They give the rug a bath by putting it under water and cleaning it with a very mild gentle shampoo. Next, they will dry the rug upside down to force the knap to go in the correct direction. Finally, the rugs are wash by hand. Tto give the best results. Prices seem to be reasonable and the delivery cost is about $40. Here is what have been said by others:
“They are absolutely the best in San Diego area not exactly on their quality of work (I did not get service from others so I can’t judge them on that) but on customer service. They are professionals and friendly.”

This company was established in 2005. They specialize in environmentally-responsible carpet and upholstery cleaning. They don’t use harmful or irritating chemicals, detergent residues, and V.O.C.’s (Vaporous Organic Compounds). For serious cleaning, they offer Rotary Steam Extraction; a process which is great for carpets in any condition. It has a longer drying time, but is very thorough.
“So I needed my carpet cleaned because I am a clumsy fool and spilled many a beverage. These guys are very professional, reliable, and are true miracle workers. While they did their business we went to have lunch and before we could be halfway done with our food, they gave us a call letting us know they were done. These guys are fast, thorough, friendly, and amazing”
“All I can say is awesome. I moved into a new place and because the landlord was fumigating for termites I wanted the carpet cleaned since I have a baby and a dog and don’t like the idea of them crawling around on a gaseous carpet. Eco-Dry was able to come out super quickly on Thanksgiving weekend with very little notice! They were polite, friendly, and quick. The carpet looked great!”
“Called Eco-Dry to clean our condo based on Yelp reviews. I wasn’t let down. They scheduled me in next day, worked around the power being off in our house (extension cord!) and were done in about half an hour. “Yup, you got it! D-Mac! These guys are amazing! As usual, Dean takes your calls and is super friendly and helpful and Jason came out and did his magic and made the carpet look BRAND NEW! I am telling you, you cannot go wrong with getting your carpets cleaned when you call D-Mac! Plus you should check out their website cause they ALWAYS have a carpet special all the time plus, I even got another discount when I added a service on the spot! That’s what I call RAD!!”
“Now, i can’t say that D-Mac saved our carpet. it still reeks. it’s just that it reeks a little less. And, to be totally clear, the D-Mac rep we spoke to was very honest about not being able to save a carpet once it had been through Armageddon. in order to save it, we’d have to rip it up and replace the padding underneath. we can’t afford that, so the steam clean with disinfectant was the next best thing. and, although it does still stink, it looks really good. it looks almost new, actually! no stains, no sign of its painful past, just a nice clean looking floor that stinks a little less than it used to.
in addition to cleaning up our carpet, the fella cleaned our couch for a reasonable $10/foot. getting both our 8 foot couch and bedroom done cost us $150, which was $25-$150 less than we were quoted anywhere else. the couch came out wonderfully – no stains, no smell, nothing. it’s like a new couch, minus the new couch smell. it just doesn’t smell of anything at all, which is pretty cool. it doesn’t stink, it doesn’t smell like cleaning products, it’s just there, not assaulting the nose in any way. wonderful!”
